Your blog is amazing. One of the best sources for amibent/minimalist music out there.
I'd say keep up the good work, but I know you will anyway.

great upload! Have you got Basinski's 'Silent Night'? I can't find it anywhere

Ah! You're back - such good news :)

FLAC would be really great if that's ok?

thanks!

thanks for these! what a resource :) I definitely want two of them, but which are the best? I own "Melancholia" and liked it but wasn't blown away. some parts are a bit too minimalist for me. I do love minimalism tho.

So, Any Basinki Suggestions?

Which two would I enjoy most? I listen to artists like Philip Glass, Brian Eno, Arvo Part, Stars of the Lid, Tim Hecker, Stockhausen (not the crazy noise pieces), John Cage, Wim Mertens (the “Damien” album only so far), David Borden, Deuter, Biosphere, and others. I’m also into baroque/classical/romantic classical (Beethoven, Chopin, Bach, Paganini, etc.) and some recent atonal classical (Bartok, Schnittke, Ligeti, etc.). also some rock-based ambient bands.

so anyway: what Basinki would I like best and/or which ones do other people (like YOU) like best?
thanks everyone :)

@Marcin, I haven't been able to find that one as well, but if I do I'll make sure to up it for you.

@5:4, are there any particular releases you were thinking of? many of these would be hard to upload on mediafire because they are so large.

@DC, I'm partial to Variations for Piano & Tape, The Garden of Brokenness, as well as El Camino Real. They each have their own sound to them, but if you haven't heard the Disintegration Loop series or Vivian & Ondine you should grab those first

Thanks for these! I don't know if you're all recovered from your HD failure(s), but I saw Irezumi on your list from a while back, and I'd still like to hear that one, if possible

Hi, well perhaps we could start with FLACs of "Watermusic" & "Melancholia"?

Thanks again :)

s said...

alright, I upped the irezumi as well as melancholia. I searched and found out I do not have watermusic in flac, I apologize.
